Call for Art

Conference attendees are invited to submit up to two small artworks to be considered for Transcend: Defying Dimensions, an opportunity for artists to share their work with other attendees. The Juried Show will be exhibited at the host site, St. David’s Episcopal Church. All CIVA conference attendees are invited to submit, explore and engage with this special conference exhibition.

Submissions are open to registered conference attendees. If you are not registered and would like to, you can easily register here.


Submission Deadline: August 13, 2021, at 11:59 pm CT

Show Dates: November 4-6, 2021

Location: St. David's Episcopal Church, Austin, TX - CIVA 2021 Conference Headquarters

Details
  • ​No pieces larger than 16 inches in any direction will be accepted.

  • No pieces heavier than 5 lbs will be accepted.

  • No fragile or dangerous pieces will be accepted.

  • All media types are welcome to submit for consideration, including 3D work.

  • Pieces requiring audio/visual equipment cannot be accepted unless that equipment is provided by the artist and fits within the dimension and weight parameters.

  • Art cannot be shipped. Shipped work will not be accepted. It is the artist’s responsibility to carry their work to and from the conference venue.

  • Participants install their own work between 3:00 - 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

  • All pieces must be fully ready for installation / wired for hanging.

  • Please label your work clearly.

  • Art must remain in the show until conclusion of conference on November 6, 2021.

  • Artists will complete a waiver of responsibility before installing their work.

  • All artwork must be picked up at the end of the conference. No exceptions.

  • De-installation will be done by the artist on Saturday, November 6, 2021, between 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. No exceptions.

  • Any artwork left at the conference site after above stated time will become the property of CIVA to handle/dispose of without liability. No exceptions.
